In an address at the Summit's opening, the minister reiterated his call on "all partners, on behalf of the Algerian government, to seize the investment opportunities offered by Algeria as part of its economic revival, and to work together for the building of a common economic future based on innovation and productivity."

Zitouni said the far-reaching economic reforms Algeria launched in 2020, in implementation of the programme of the president of the Republic, Abdelmadjid Tebboune, including the new Investment Act and the Monetary and Banking Act, "have had a positive impact on the business community and contributed to the improvement of the investment climate."

The step, he added, was part of Algeria's efforts to "establish a solid business model from a legal and legislative point of view, ensuring economic freedom and equal opportunities for local and foreign investors, while enhancing standards of transparency and openness to adapt to global economic change."
