Arab Junior Boxing Championship: Algeria finishes second with 12 medals, including 2 gold

CAIRO- With 12 medals (2 gold, 4 silver and 6 bronze), the Algerian boxing team finished second in the Arab Junior Championship which wrapped up on Friday evening at the Olympic Complex of Al-Maadi in Cairo (Egypt).

 

[ecr] Algeria’s two gold medals were harvested by Amir Boulmerka (86 kg) and Abderrahim Magtaa (+92 kg) who dominated Egyptians Mohamed Abdel-Hady Abdelsa and Mohamed Hassen Farag, respectively.

 

The Algerian team won also dour silver medals: Brahimi Akrouf (54 kg), Rahmani Fadl-Errahmane (57kg), Rabah Akram Lyès (80 kg) and Mohamed Oussama Arbia (92 kg).

 

The six bronze medals went to Mohamed Abbas (48 kg), Islam Dehlal (67 kg), Yahia Bouchakour (60 kg), Abderrahim Kechroud (71 kg), Abdou Mustapha (75 kg) et Hammam Oussama (63.5 kg).

 

The event’s organizing country, Egypt, ranked first with 11 medals (7 gold, 3 silver and 1 bronze).  [/ecr]
