Algerian Canoe player Caroll Bouzidi officially qualifies for Olympic Games 2024

ALGIERS- The Algerian athlete Caroll Bouzidi has officially qualified for the Paris 2024 Olympic Games in kayak slalom, the Algerian Olympic and Sports Committee (COA) announced on Thursday.

This new qualification brings the country’s total number of athletes headed to the 2024 Olympics to 19, including four representatives from the Algerian Rowing and Canoe Kayak Federation.

The rowers are Sid Ali Boudina, in lightweight single sculls, Nihed Benchadli, in heavyweight single sculls, and Brahim Guendouz, in para-canoe.   

With just months to go before the 2024 Olympics starts, 19 able-bodied athletes have punched their tickets so far for the Parisian rendezvous across seven sports disciplines: boxing (5), athletics (3), shooting (3), cycling (2), rowing (2), canoeing (1), sailing (2), gymnastics (1).
