Olympics 2024: First group of Algerian sports delegation arrives in Paris

ALGIERS- The first group of the Algerian sports delegation arrived Saturday afternoon to Paris, France, to take part in the 2024 Olympic Games in Paris (July 26 – August 11), the Algerian Olympic and Sports Committee said Sunday.

The first group to join the olympic village in Paris is made up of Romaissa Boualem, Hadjila Khelif and Imane Khelif (boxing), Nihad Benchadli (skiff-rowing), Caroll Bouzidi (canoe-kayak), Koceila and Tanina Maameri (badminton), Lynda Loghraibi (table tennis) and Jaouad Syoud (swimming).

The second group of the delegation is composed of table tennis coaches Mekran Boukerman, Hussein Rabii and Halim Djitli, badminton coach and members of the medical team as well as members of the administrative staff.

In a training camp abroad, the other Algerian athletes qualified for the Olympics 2024 will join the Olympic village in Paris directly from their training venues.

Algeria will compete in the Paris Olympics 2024 with 46 athletes in 15 sports disciplines.
