Paris 2024 Paralympic Games/Para-judo: Algerian Ishak Ouldkouider clinches bronze

PARIS — Algerian para-judoka Ishak Ouldkouider won the bronze medal in the -60 kg J2 at the Paris 2024 Paralympic Games, triumphing over Brazil's Thiego Marquez Da Silva with an Ippon (10-00), in Thursday's match at Champs-de-Mars Arena.

Uzbekistan's Sherzod Namazov claimed gold in the category, defeating Georgia's Zurab Zurabiani 1-0 in the final.

The second bronze medal was awarded to Ukraine's Davyd Khorava, who overcame South Korea's Lee Minjae with an Ippon.

Ouldkouider's bronze is the second medal for Algerian para-judo at the 2024 Paralympic Games, following the gold won earlier on Thursday by Abdelkader Bouamer in the (-60 kg - J1) category, who triumphed with a "Waza-ari" against Iranian Banitaba Khoram Abadi Seyed Meysam.
