Just like last year, APS will seize this opportunity to measure Algerian athletes' achievements and successes, inviting the sports departments of the national press to take part in the poll, whose first edition was conducted in 1977.

Every media will choose a maximum of three best male athletes and best three female athletes, a disabled athlete (man and woman), the best hopeful (boy and girl), ranked in order of merit, according to the results obtained in the current year (2024).

The sports editorial team of Algeria Press Service will present, as a reference base, an extensive list of athletes, including medallists in Olympic disciplines, while leaving it up to the media to choose names from the list, or suggest names of other athletes.
