2024 Military African Games: Algeria clinches three gold medals in Judo, one in volleyball

ABUJA- The National Military Judo team continues its gold medals harvest at the 2nd African Military Games hosted by the city of Abuja (Nigeria) until November 30, adding three gold medals to its medal count, in addition to the one from the national volleyball team.

The gold medals in judo were secured by Lili Mehdi (100kg) and Benchaalal Dihiya (78kg), as well as by the national team in the team event.

For their part, athletes Lokmane Daghoul and Abdelkader Fetouh each won a bronze medal.

The national military volleyball team secured the gold medal after defeating their Sierra Leone counterparts 3-0, delivering an outstanding performance.

In athletics, the 3000m steeplechase athlete Hichem Mechicha finished in third place, winning the bronze medal, as did his compatriot Dhiae Cherif Boudoumi in the triple jump. [/ecr]
