In a statement to the press on Tuesday in New York, Dujarric said that “the United Nations' efforts to resolve the conflict in Western Sahara will carry on in line with the Security Council’s resolutions.”
As a former Spanish colony, the Western Sahara has been registered since 1963 on the list of non-self-governing territories of the United Nations’ 4th Committee, known as the “Special Political and Decolonization Committee.”[/ecr]
