The OIC said in a press release that it will hold on Wednesday, 7 August 2024, at the headquarters of the organization's General Secretariat in Jeddah, “an extraordinary open-ended meeting of the Executive Committee at the level of Foreign Ministers.”

This meeting will “discuss the ongoing crimes committed by the Zionist occupier against the Palestinian people, including the assassination of the head of the Hamas Political Bureau, Ismail Haniyeh (...).”

“The meeting comes amid the ongoing Zionist aggression against the Palestinians, particularly in the Gaza Strip, where the death toll has reached nearly 40,000 martyrs with over 91,000 injuries, the majority of whom are women and children,” the same source said.

It will further highlight “the destruction of the Palestinians’ properties, including 430,000 homes, as well as infrastructure, health and educational facilities, places of worship and historical sites, in addition to the displacement of nearly two million Palestinians from their homes,” the press release said.[/ecr]
