In the Gaza Strip, 9,936 students have been killed and 15,897 injured since the beginning of the Zionist aggression, on 7 October 2023, while 107 students were killed and 526 others wounded in the occupied west Bank, the ministry said in a statement reported by Wafa news agency.

The ministry added that 504 teachers and administrative staff were killed and 3,426 injured in the Gaza Strip and the occupied west Bank while 117 have been arrested.

In addition, 119 public schools in the Gaza Strip have been seriously damaged and more than 62 totally destroyed, while 191 public schools affiliated to the United Nations Relief and Works Agency for Refugees (UNRWA) have been bombed and ransacked.

A total of 20 universities have been destroyed and more than 31 university buildings have been totally destroyed and 57 partially destroyed, the statement said.
