ALGIERS — The adoption of a draft resolution by the United Nations General Assembly (UNGA) on Wednesday, put forward by the State of Palestine, demanding that the Zionist entity end its occupation of the occupied Palestinian territories within 12 months, was hailed by Palestinians as a “victory for the Palestinian people’s long-standing demands to end the occupation and establish an independent State.”
