The statement released at the end of the proceedings of Riyadh Summit commended the creation of the mechanism, welcoming the constant and historic positions of the African Union regarding the Palestinian cause.

The creation of the mechanism is meant to mobilize and coordinate the efforts and steps of the three organisations in support of the Palestinian cause, mainly through regular political consultations, exchange of information and data, joint positions in international fora, the organisation of humanitarian rescue operations, and the planning of media and cultural activities shedding light on the suffering and struggle of the brotherly Palestinian people.
