The instructions given by President Tebboune during this meeting included the preparation of the revival of the activity of industrial zones through a bill to be submitted at future meetings of the Council of Ministers.

In this context, he ordered the Minister of Interior and Local Authorities to “immediately” draft a data sheet on the situation of all industrial zones in the provinces in terms of activity and land ownership.

In this regard, President Tebboune said that "the interest did not lie in the multitude of industrial zones created but in their business utility in terms of job creation and revival of the national economy to drain the real productive investment, not by administrative decisions.

He said that "only a deep consideration of a new regime is likely to revive the national economy, where the state supports the people with ideas and initiatives away from previous experiences based on the rent and the quick win.”

Moreover, he gave instructions to "open the creation of industrial zones to the private sector.”[/ecr]
