Algerian-Brazilian partnership: Zeghdar inaugurates plant in Setif

SETIF- Minister of Industry Ahmed Zeghdar inaugurated Tuesday, in Setif, a first plant constructed in partnership between Algeria and Brazil, specialized in the manufacturing of electric motors of washing machines.

[ecr]  The minister, who started his working and inspection visit to the province of Setif by the inauguration of this plant established in the municipality of Guedjel, said that “this plant is the fruit of an Algerian-Brazilian partnership.”

Zeghdar said that the products of this plant will enable meeting the needs for the electric motors of washing machines of the local market and public and national companies, as part of the integration strategy to which president of the Republic Abdelmadjid Tebboune gives a big importance.

The minister pointed out that the motors manufactured in this plant will be exported to African and European countries once the lcoal needs are met.

In this respect, the same official said that the Brazilian partner has chosen to invest in Algeria for several reasons, notably Algeria’s attractiveness, its privileged position in Africa and its proximity to Europe, adding that this type of motors is in great demand in the world, estimated at 14 million units.

Zeghdar considered that the investment prospects with this partner are promising, as well as with other companies. They will help increase the rate of integration in all the units specialized in the technologies applied on washing machines, he said, adding that this investment shows the efficiency of the new law on the investment.   [/ecr]
