In a working meeting with the provincial authorities, the presidents of the people’s communal assemblies and the directors of the province’s executive council, Adjal, who paid an inspection visit to several structures coming under the group he runs, underlined that six power transformers will be set up.
These projects, he added, to be executed in Djendjen (Taher), Harrathen (Jijel), Chekfa, El Ancer, Djamaa Beni Hbibi and El Aouana, will enable producing 640 megavolt-amperes instead of 320 megavolt-amperes currently, i.e. a very important production capacity, likely to “cover the province’s needs until 2050.”
He stressed that his visit to Jijel comes within the framework of the implementation of the directives of the country’s top authorities on the necessity of taking all the measures related to the different development programs, notably those related to the joining of isolated areas to the electricity and gas networks, as well as the industrial areas and farms to the electrical network.
