Tindouf: Citizens hail President Tebboune for honoring commitments to people

TINDOUF- Notables and civil society representatives in the province of Tindouf hailed Thursday evening the President of the Republic, Abdelmadjid Tebboune, for honoring his 54 commitments to the Algerian people, particularly the achievement of equitable development between the country’s different regions.

In this regard, the member of the National Civil Society Observatory  (ONSC), Aicha Ramdani, praised the State’s commitment, under the leadership of President Tebboune, to “implementing a national plan for achieving equitable development between the country’s different regions, particularly isolated ones, in addition to fighting exclusion and marginalization.”

She added that women in Tindouf and the Saharan region hope for “doors to open up for them so as to enable them to market the women artisans’ products and create international market or a free trade zone to showcase their products, with the participation of neighboring countries such as Mauritania, with a view to encouraging the women of Tindouf to enter the world of entrepreneurship.”

Bitat Khetari, a region’s notable and an association’s president, said that the visit of the President of the Republic is “historic” given the important strategic projects launched. He hailed, on behalf of the people of Tindouf, President Tebboune for honoring his 54 commitments aimed at achieving a development surge nationwide.

The local authorities’ official Khalil Hadj Boubekeur also commended the attention of the President of the Republic to the citizens’ concerns, wherever they are, as well as the special interest given to vulnerable categories.

On his part, the professor at “Ali-Kafi” university of Tindouf, Ferdi Hammad, hailed the “historic decisions” taken by President Tebboune for the university community, such as the recruitment of PhD and Magister degree holders, along with revising the status of the researcher professors.

The member of the Supreme Youth Council Said Azzedine said, on this occasion, that the creation of the Council “is one of the commitments honored by the President of the Republic, enabling the youth’s involvement in political life and decision-making.”

The speakers unanimously applauded the honorable positions of Algerian diplomacy and its unconditional support for just causes worldwide, particularly the Palestinian and Sahrawi causes.
