Professionals in the field of production, processing and packaging of farm produce and agri-food, manufacturing of chemical substances for agricultural use such as fertilisers and other industrial equipment are taking part in the event, to run until October 13.
Agrest-Expo, part of the State's efforts to give a fresh impetus to national economy by providing support to wealth creating activities, is a "space for exchange and an opportunity to promote Algerian agricultural products that have managed to position themselves in foreign markets," the event's manager, Ahmed Haniche, said.
The trade show will shed light on the achievements made by Algeria in the production and use of fertilisers (organic fertilisers) and the manufacturing of gluten-free food, for the preservation of public health.
Haniche also stressed the advances made by Algerian professionals in the production of agricultural equipment.
The third Agrest-Expo, bringing together Algerian public and private companies specialized in the agricultural field, and more than ten exhibitors representing five countries, including Italy, France and turkey, in addition to supporting institutions (banks and insurance companies), will be an opportunity for exchange of experiences and knowledge, with the possibility of establishing cooperation for the development of national economy.
More than ten ambassadors are taking part in the international economic event in the country's eastern capital.
