ALGIERS- Fourteen people died and 961 others were injured in traffic accidents that occurred across several regions of the country over the past week, according to a report published Tuesday by the Civil Protection.

The heaviest toll was recorded in the province of Chlef with 2 deaths and 26 injuries, said the same source.

In addition, units of the Civil Protection intervened to extinguish 907 urban, industrial and other fires, added the osurce.
