During a visit to specialized institutions in Rouiba and El-Biar coming under the ministry of National Solidarity, accompanied by Katarina Johnsson, the representative of UNICEF in Algeria, Krikou said the visit was part of the actions to "step up cooperation between the sector and UNICEF, through a number of programmes and activities."

Krikou recalled State efforts for the protection and promotion of children, and the interest given to this category, including children with specific needs.
