The heaviest toll was recorded in the province of Oran with 02 people killed at the scene of accidents and 44 others injured in 40 traffic accidents, said the same source.

During the same period, the rescue services of the Civil Protection intervened to extinguish 725 urban, industrial, and other fires, particularly in Algiers (62), Oran (35), and Chlef (33).

The Civil Protection units carried out 13369 interventions to provide healthcare services to 13057 injured and sick people treated before evacuating them to hospitals.

They also carried out 5472 interventions to save 410 410 persons in danger and to execute 4597 other operations of assistance.

During the same period, the same rescue services extinguished 604 urban, industrial, and other fires, the most important of which were in the province of Algiers (79), Blida (32), and Chlef (26).[/ecr]
