The kick-off ceremony of this campaign, organized by the Association "SIDRA", took place in the presence of the President of the National Civil Society Watchdog (ONSC), Noureddine Benbraham.

According to the organizers, this national campaign, which is part of the monitoring and support for solidarity operations and associations operating during the holy month of Ramadan, aims to "help poor families and needy" through "the distribution of food packages and financial donations,".

In a statement to the press, the ONSC president welcomed this kind of initiative especially during the holy month, stressing that "solidarity and mutual aid were one of the features of Algerian society.”

This solidarity campaign has proven once again the existence of a large mobilization of young people in working-class neighborhoods to ensure the success of each solidarity action, “Benbraham welcomed the support of local authorities and the public and private economic sector" to this initiative of solidarity.
