The heaviest toll was recorded in the province of Sidi Bel Abbès, where 3 people were killed and 23 injured in 18 road accidents, the same source said.

The Civil Protection also extinguished 865 urban, industrial and other fires, the largest of which were recorded in the provinces of Mostaganem (73 fires), Algiers (68) and Oran (60).
