Initiated by the local section of the Algerian Red Crescent (CRA) and the province of Ghardaia, in collaboration with the Majliss Ba Abderrahmane El-Kourti, considered as the high council of the notables of the Ibadite Rite, this solidarity caravan is made up of over five semi-trailers loaded with humanitarian aid (tents, blankets, consumer goods and medicines) for the population of Gaza. It was launched by the members of Ghardaia’s civil society and local elected officials.

“This humanitarian initiative aims to help our Palestinian brothers on the eve of the holy month of Ramadan,” said the head of Ghardaia’s CRA division, Radwan Abouna Sofiane.

He added that it also is a message to the whole international community to raise awareness of the Palestinian ordeal and the terrible horrific aggression against the civilian population of Gaza.
