Road accidents: 46 deaths, 1792 injuries in one week  

 

 ALGIERS- Forty-six (46) people died and 1792 others were injured in 1355 road accidents that occurred nationwide from 16 to 22 June, according to a Civil Protection’s toll released on Tuesday.

The highest toll was recorded in M’Sila province, with 9 deaths and 58 injuries, after 37 road accidents, said the same source.

 The Civil Protection units intervened for the extinction of 2267 urban, industrial and other fires, mostly in Algiers with 380 fires, Constantine (132) and Blida (85).  

 As for other operations, 5243 interventions were conducted during the same period to save 333 people in dangerous situations, and to carry out 4560 diverse assistance operations, added the Civil Protection toll.[/ecr]
