Speaking in a meeting organized by the ONSC at Oran’s Mediterranean Village, with the participation of the provincial authorities, representatives of local associations and organizations and social players, Benbraham highlighted that “the political participation in public life and elections is a right and obligation that all citizens should practice in every occasion like the forthcoming presidential election of 7 September.”

 “The civil society is called upon as a driving force to work towards strengthening civic culture and the promotion of the political and democratic participation to serve the country properly, preserve its stability and achieve prosperity,” he added.

 Benbraham called on the representatives of the civil society’s organizations to “go from a demanding civil society to a productive and helpful civil society for the country."[/ecr]
