Chairing this meeting which took place at the Grands Vents Park in Dely-Brahim (Algiers), the National Delegate for Child Protection, Meriem Cherfi, said that this event is part of activities aimed at organizing recreational and awareness outings for children, regarding the importance of environmental preservation.
The measures taken by the State, including laws, procedures and programs of the preservation of the environment as part of the goals of sustainable development, were emphasized by Cherfi.
The head of the General Directorate of Forests (DGF), Djamel Touahria, underscored the importance of this meeting, aiming at rooting the ecological culture among children, by providing them with information on Algeria’s natural diversity, as well as the State’s efforts to preserve environment and forest wealth.[/ecr]
