Belmehdi takes part in Yaoundé in 50th OIC Council of Foreign Ministers

YAOUNDE — The Minister of Religious Affairs and Wakfs, Youcef Belmehdi, is taking part in the 50th Council of Foreign Ministers of the Organization of Islamic Cooperation (OIC), which kicked off Thursday in Yaoundé, the capital of Cameroon.

The 50th OIC Foreign Ministers Council session addresses pressing issues, including developments in the Palestinian cause and occupied Al-Quds, as well as political and economic matters.

Running for two days under the theme “Developing transport and communication infrastructure: Major instrument in combating poverty and insecurity,” this 50th session will discuss many issues including science and technology, socio-cultural issues, women, youth, the elderly and humanitarian affairs, in addition to legal, institutional and organizational matters.
