The toll recorded a decrease in the number of road accidents (-4), injuries (-6) and of deaths (-2) compared to the previous week, said the source.

The human factor still remains the main cause of these accidents (95 %) because of non-compliance with the highway traffic code and safety distance, speeding and lack of concentration when driving, in addition to the state of vehicles.

The General Directorate of National Police (DGSN) reiterates its call to road users to caution and compliance with the highway code, recalling the green number 1548 and emergency number 17, put at the disposal of citizens 24/24.[/ecr]
