Slovenian parliamentary delegation explores Timimoun’s tourism potentials

TIMIMOUN- A Slovenian parliamentary delegation, led by the President of the National Assembly of Slovenia, Urska Klakocar Zupancic, paid a visit to the province of Timimoun, to explore its natural and tourism potentials, the provincial services said on Monday.

 Urska Klakocar Zupancic's visit to the province of Timimoun is part of her official work visit to Algeria and coincides with the launch of the Saharan tourist season, which is experiencing an influx of tourists to the South in general, said the source.

 

This tour enabled the Slovenian delegation to inquire, on Sunday, about an exhibition of handicraft items, the attractions of this region of the great South, rich in tourist and archaeological sites, including the Ighzer caves and the Badgha foggara for water sharing in the Ouled Said region, before enjoying an artistic evening in the Ahellil genre and local music.

Timimoun province is expecting a significant increase in foreign tourists this season, which will to boost the tourism sector and contribute to the region's socio-economic development.
