In a statement to APS, the manager of Communication at the General Directorate of the Civil Protection (DGPC), Lieutenant Abdat Youcef, said that the Civil Protection conducted in November a total of 91,015 interventions across the national territory, 4,970 of which were related to road accidents that caused 146 deaths and 5,733 injuries.
Abdat reported that 13 people died from carbon monoxide poisoning, highlighting that Civil Protection units intervened to rescue 145 people intoxicated by carbon monoxide, emanating from heating devices and water heaters in their homes, across several provinces of the country.
The Civil Protection services extinguished 1,504 urban and industrial fires, and 109 fires that affected vegetation cover, concluded the same source.
