Made up of representatives of the ministerial departments, national institutions, civil society, academics and experts, the council is aimed at "strengthening the achievements of the family and women by contributing to drawing up development plans, guaranteeing a family-friendly social and economic environment," Mouloudji said.
The minister stressed "the state's commitment, under the leadership of the president of the Republic, Abdelmadjid Tebboune, to ensure better management of family and women's issues, given their importance in social stability and national development."
Sbaa Fatma-Zohra was installed as the new chairwoman of the council, Mouloudji said, underlining that the body will work "according to a grassroots approach to issues relating to the advancement of women and support for families."
