This agreement, which is part of the "Solidarity Fund for Innovative Projects (FSPI)", was signed by the CNRA Director Amel Soltani and France’s Ambassador to Algeria François Gouyette, in the presence of Minister of Culture and Arts, Soraya Mouloudji.

The Minister of Culture explained that the signed document fell “in the framework of the cooperation and scientific partnership program subsidized by the FSPI,” adding that it will allow the center to benefit from a set of materials, research equipment, and services.

This partnership is an opportunity for Algerian experts to benefit from training in the field of heritage, specifically in applied geology and archeology, said Mouloudji.

For his part, Gouyette said this agreement was “an important mechanism to revive scientific cooperation between France and Algeria, including the field of archeology.”

“It is a cooperation agreement with a budget aiming at carrying out cooperation and training activities in the field of archeology. It also reflects France's willingness to boost cultural cooperation with Algeria,” said the French diplomat.
