[ecr] The minister emphasized the work of the joint committee on the Arab Archeological Centre in Tipaza, proposed by Algeria, to become a mainstay in terms of archeology and civilizational heritage of the Arab region.
She discussed some common Arab files to which Algeria has contributed, like the common file on the Arab calligraphy, metal engraving and wood engraving.
The minister discussed the five-year plan aimed at preparing a number of files to be submitted for nomination to the representative list of UNESCO intangible cultural heritage, suggesting that Algeria hosts the meeting of the culture pioneers in the Arab world, said the source.
For his part, ALECSO’s director general made a presentation on the state of the cultural and artistic cooperation between the ministry and ALCSO, stressing the importance of “strengthening this cooperation and of coordination in the future in order to develop the sector in the Arab world.”
In this regard, he renewed his invitation of the minister to visit the Organization’s headquarters in Tunisia. He presented ALECSO’s trophy to the minister for her efforts to support the sector at the national and Arab levels, said the source. [/ecr]
