On the last day of the book fair, visitors continued to pour in as many exhibitors were preparing to leave.

However, some publishers told APS that the number of visitors on the last day was not as important as on the previous days.

They added that sales were low on the last day despite the discounts, reaching in some cases 50 percent.

Some 1283 exhibitors from 60 countries, 18 of which from Africa, took part in the 26th international Fair Book of Algiers through a series of conferences and panels devoted to literature and African thought, led by prominent academics and writers.
