Arab Algerian Forum of Novel soon in Djelfa

DJELFA- A cultural event entitled “Arab Algerian Forum of Novel,” will be organized soon in the province of Djelfa, the Minister of Culture and Arts Soraya Mouloudji announced on Monday as part of a working visit to this province.

The minister said that the province of Djelfa, which “counts elites who have won national, Arab and international prizes, will host a regional cultural event, entitled “Arab Algerian Forum of Novel,” in order to restore the image of this vast region of the country.

She also underlined, as part of the efforts to promote and tap into the local cultural heritage, the promotion of the local Naili music, song, dance and costume Festival to the rank of national Festival, under the name “the National Festival of Oueld Nail Culture and Heritage.”

Mouloudji also announced steps underway to “institutionalize the national Okadhiate festival for folk poetry, whose first edition is scheduled for 2024 in Djelfa,” which is in itself “a real achievement for the inhabitants of this region, because this event will bring together all the Algerian creators of folk poetry, while shedding light on an important pan of our heritage,” she added.

The minister of Culture and Arts pointed out the selection of the theatre of Djelfa to represent Algeria at the International Spring Theatre Festival in Malekhovo (Russia). The same theatre will host in February a national meeting on the workshop-theatre, she underlined.
