During the edition’s opening, initiated by Mila’s local concert association under the theme “I contribute to the building of my country through my art,” the participants visited a plastic art exhibition in the public park Rachid Chaaboub in Mila, featuring creative works by artists participating in this competition.
The participants headed with the event’s guests (from Palestine and Tunisia) for the schools chosen to make frescos in the municipalities of Mila, Oued El Athmania and Tassadane Haddada.
A total of 60 primary schools were retained for the competition, said the president of the organizing association, Imad Cherayer.
The artists will perform on the final day of the competition on 6 March a fresco entitled “Palestine in the heart” downtown Mila, before the announcement of the results and the prize awarding ceremony, affirmed the same source.
Guest of honor, the President of the Algerian section of the Palestinian Writers Union, Hussein Abu Nadja told APS that the painting, a mural at the end of the competition, of a fresco entitled “Palestine in the heart “reflects the artist’s interest in the Palestinian cause that Algeria and its people constantly support.
