Ministry of Culture, Arts holds reception in honour of Algerian artists

ALGIERS- The Ministry of Culture and Arts organized on Saturday a reception in honour of Algerian artists at Moufdi Zakaria Palace of Culture in Algiers on the occasion of Aïd El-Fitr, which was attended by artists from different provinces of the country.

The meeting was attended by Minister of Culture and the Arts, Soraya Mouloudji, Adviser to the President of the Republic in charge of Education, Higher Education, Vocational Training and Culture, Mohamed Seghir Saadaoui, the Adviser to the President of the Republic in charge of the Directorate General of Communication, Kamel Sidi Said, and artists from different generations, including actors, musicians, playwrights, directors, writers, producers and others.

" This meeting with Algerian artists from all regions of our beloved country and from all artistic and creative fields, in a friendly and cordial atmosphere, calls on us to ensure that the beautiful and noble message that culture and the arts carry is widely disseminated, not only to increase public interest, but also to affirm our national belonging to everything that serves our society and contributes to the cultural and cognitive development of our country," Mouloudji said at the opening of the reception.

"It is in the name of these noble values that we express our esteem and respect for every Algerian artist who believes in cultural, national and civilisational responsibility," she added.

"As we fulfil our duty of gratitude today to all the Algerian artists who contribute to strengthening cultural action, we must also express our deep and sincere gratitude to President of the Republic, Abdelmadjid Tebboune, who has always ensured the promotion of artistic scene and the place of artists in our country, as well as encouraging innovators, particularly young people."
