Kor Noureddine will participate along with 150 calligraphers, from 30 countries, in the international cultural event that will be held at the Convention Gallery of the Islamic Centre of Djakarta.

He will exhibit a single large canvas (acrylic-on-fabric) entitled "Divine Providence," featuring a verse from the 12th Surah of the Holy Qur'an, namely "Yusuf."

The artist said his work contained several elements, including floral and geometric sculpture and symbols of traditional crafts from the Algerian heritage.

Calligrapher Kor Nouredine, the first Algerian artist to obtain a degree in the history of calligraphy in the Arab World, has produced more than 2,000 calligraphy art works and participated in many national and international events.

He received many prizes and awards and is the first to have created a special gallery for calligraphy in the country.

He recently created a club in Oran to teach Arab calligraphy in contribution to the development of this art in Algeria.
