Algeria Post: New stamp to mark 75th anniversary of Palestinian Nakba issued

ALGIERS-Algeria Post (AP) issued Monday a new postage stamp on the occasion of the commemoration of the 75th anniversary of Palestinian Nakba. The new stamp shows the Al-Aqsa Mosque with a key by its side, symbolizing the Palestinians' attachment to the right of return to their land.

[ecr]  Issued upon the initiative of the Ministry of Mujahedeen and Rights Holders and the Ministry of Post and Telecommunications, the new AP’s stamp was designed by the young artist Mouataz Bi Allah Seryis. This stamp is being issued in 200,000 copies, accompanied by an artistic card and a first-day issue envelop. The pre-sale operation started at 8:00 a.m. and will continue until Tuesday in all post offices nationwide.

On this occasion, the director of Postage Stamps at Algerie Post Sihem Bouazarza affirmed that “since the recovery of national sovereignty, the Algerian stamp has accompanied all Arab and international events, supporting all just causes of liberation, particularly the Palestinian issue that has been given a special attention.”  [/ecr]
