KUWAIT, Nov 27 (KUNA) -- The GCC human rights strategy aims at harmonizing the council member states stands on related issues, said the director general of the human rights office at the GCC secretariat general, Abdullah Al-Ajmi.
The four-axes strategy also aims at working out a joint vision, said Al-Ajmi, in a statement after lecturing a seminar held at Saud Nasser Al-Sabah Diplomatic Institute. The strategy is compatible with the relevant international mechanisms and procedures, he added.
He shed light in the lecture on bases of the GCC strategy, namely the Islamic shariaa, the constituent laws, the GCC human rights declaration, adopted in 2014, the international human rights declaration, regional and international conventions. (end) aa.rk
