KUWAIT, Dec 3 (KUNA) -- The Kuwait Foundation for the Advancement of Sciences (KFAS) said Tuesday that the talent development program seeks to enhance technological innovation and equip participants with expertise in advanced fields such as 5G, Artificial Intelligence (AI), and cloud computing, in alignment with Kuwait Vision 2035.
KFAS announced in a press statement the launch of a pioneering talent development program in collaboration with Huawei Technologies Kuwait, aiming to bridge the gap between academic education and practical experience, provide participants with the tools needed to thrive in the digital economy and boost Kuwait's global competitiveness in this vital field.
Since its inception in 2019, the collaboration between KFAS and Huawei has yielded significant achievements, KFAS noted, including initiatives such as the "Seeds for the Future" program and the annual ICT competition. These efforts have trained over 100 Kuwaiti students and graduates in cutting-edge technologies.
KFAS affirmed that the new program aims to further develop participants' capabilities to meet the growing demands of Kuwait's ICT sector, empowering university students, employees from the public and private sectors, and aspiring entrepreneurs to acquire the skills necessary to excel in the rapidly evolving digital landscape.
KFAS stressed that enhancing ICT infrastructure and fostering a culture of innovation are critical to achieving the goals of Kuwait Vision 2035, which focuses on sustainability and a knowledge-driven economy.
For its part, Huawei Kuwait said this partnership reflects its commitment to promoting digital knowledge and nurturing local talent. The company emphasized that openness, collaboration, and shared success are central to its vision of expanding Kuwait's ICT value chain.
The program, Huawei added, aims to provide equal learning opportunities and foster interdisciplinary knowledge, enabling Kuwaiti youth to lead the country's digital transformation in the future. (end) oys.ha.aai
