RAMALLAH, Jan 21 (KUNA) -- Palestinian ministry of health reported on Tuesday that six people were killed and 35 were wounded in an Israeli operation in Jenin.
Israeli media announced that the operation in Jenin was initiated based on a political decision following a meeting of the so-called Security and Political Cabinet on Friday.
The media also reported that the operation was endorsed politically, noting that the situation in the West Bank was described as a "ticking time bomb," as the operation became possible after the ceasefire in both Gaza and Lebanon. (end)
