TUNIS, Feb 15 (KUNA) -- Kuwait's Minister of Defense (MoD) Sheikh Abdullah Ali Abdullah Al-Sabah arrived in Tunis on Saturday to partake in the 42nd session of Arab Interior Ministers' Council on behalf of Acting Prime Minister and Interior Minister Sheikh Fahad Yusuf Saud Al-Sabah.
The meeting, due to open tomorrow, is set to discuss several topics, including the report of the Council's Secretary-General on the activities of the Secretariat since the 41st session.
The 11th plan of the Arab strategy on combating illicit use of drugs and psychotropic substances and the seventh plan on civil protection are among the discussions, the Secretariat of the Council said in a statement.
The ministers are set to focus on the recommendations issued by the conferences and meetings held at the secretariat during 2024 as well as the outcomes of joint meetings held with Arab and international organizations.
Upon arrival, Sheikh Abdullah Al-Sabah was received by Tunisian Interior Minister Khaled Al-Nouri, the council's secretary general Mohammad Kuman and Kuwait's Ambassador to Tunisia Mansour Al-Omar, along Kuwait's Embassy's staff in Tunis. (end)
