BEIRUT, Feb 18 (KUNA) -- Lebanese National News Agency (NNA) reported on Tuesday that Israeli occupation forces withdrew from bordering towns, yet keeping troops in five locations.
The Lebanese Army worked its way through the freed towns, to clear the area of unexploded grenades, as UNIFIL sent patrols to these towns and set up stations alongside the army.
The town municipalities urged the families to exercise caution when returning to allow the army to clear the area.
The agency mentioned that the five locations in which the occupation forces are met in the Palestinian side with main settlements.
Under the ceasefire agreement, brokered in November, Israeli occupation troops were granted 60 days to withdraw from southern Lebanon, an extension as granted until February 18. (end)
