KUWAIT, Feb 19 (KUNA) -- His Highness the Amir Sheikh Meshal Al-Ahmad Al-Jaber Al-Sabah on Wednesday attended and patronized the graduation ceremony of the 47th batch of Saad Al-Abdullah Academy for Security Sciences police cadets.
His Highness the Amir was received by First Deputy Prime Minister and Interior Minister Sheikh Fahad Yusuf Al-Sabah, and Ministry Undersecretary Lieutenant General Salem Nawaf Al-Sabah.
Attending the graduation ceremony were His Highness the Crown Prince Sheikh Sabah Khaled Al-Hamad Al-Sabah, His Highness the Prime Minister Sheikh Ahmad Abdullah Al-Ahmad Al-Sabah, Chief of the Supreme Judicial Council and the Court of Cassation Dr. Adel Buresli, top state officials as well as crowds of graduate families.
The graduation ceremony began with the national anthem, Quranic verses, followed by a speech from the Academy's Director General Brigadier Ali Al-Wuhaib.
He spoke of the academy's long history, its excellent educational and training curriculums with the highest levels of efficiency.
He highlighted the developmental efforts through cooperation agreements and strategic partnerships, that promote the exchange of expertise and improve skillsets.
Brigadier Al-Wuhaib spoke to graduates, telling them that while this is the end of a chapter, it's also the start of a new chapter, one of responsibility, sacrifice, national values, military honor, and team spirit, urging the graduate to be role models in justice, discipline and integrity.
He extended his congratulations to graduates' parents as they are partners in this achievement for their contributions.
He addressed His Highness the Amir in appreciation for his patronage and attendance, vowing that the police force would exert all expenses for the safety and stability of homeland.
This was followed by police cadets' performance, and the oath taking ceremony.
His Highness the Amir gave out certificates to the top graduates before the conclusion of the ceremony. (end) aai
