KUWAIT, Feb 19 (KUNA) -- Saud Alnasser Al-Sabah Diplomatic Institute held on Wednesday "Graish" day on the occasion of the approaching holy month of Ramadan, under the patronage of Foreign Minister Abdullah Al-Yahya, in the presence of several heads of diplomatic missions accredited to the country. In a statement, Assistant Foreign Minister for Institute Affairs Ambassador Nasser Al-Subaih said that the Graish" Day is a part of Kuwaiti cultural and heritage, as it is celebrated annually.
Al-Subaih added that the institute is keen to revive this occasion, especially since most of the institute's guests today are members of the diplomatic corps and international organizations.
He stressed the institute's keenness to highlight the authentic part of the heritage in Kuwaiti society and to provide foreign diplomats with an aspect of Kuwaiti culture through several forms of arts. On his part, the Institute's Former Director Ambassador Abdulaziz Al-Sharakh expressed his happiness at the distinction of the initiatives undertaken by the institute coinciding with the celebration of the national holidays, commending the diplomatic missions' keenness to participate. Kuwait Autism Center participated in this event with the support of the private sector, which trained several autism patients in handicrafts and Arabic calligraphy skills and distributed souvenirs to the attendees.
