MARRAKESH, Morocco, Feb 19 (KUNA) -- Kuwait's Minister of Public Works Nora Al-Mashaan affirmed that road safety and maintenance was a priority and key component of any development plan.
In a statement to KUNA during her participation in the WHO's Fourth Global Ministerial Conference on Road Safety, Al-Mashaan the Ministry of Public Works and Kuwait's Public Authority for Roads and Transportation (PART) were keen on partaking this international efforts to exchange views and expertize on the subject matter of the event.
She stressed Kuwait's commitment to implementing the highest standards when it came to road safety and infrastructure, which safe lives and help decrease accidents.
The WHO event is organized in coordination with Moroccan authorities and began yesterday will concluded on February 20.
Countries from around the world, including Kuwait, international organizations and institutions will be tackling road safety related issues and ways to better protect people and streamline traffic.
The event will continue to the 2030 UN's Sustainable Development Goals (UNSDG), which called for lessening deaths traffic accidents. (end) mry.gta
