DOHA, Feb 20 (KUNA) -- Kuwait Ambassador to Qatar Khaled Al-Mutairi said his country has been keen on boosting the Gulf Cooperation Council's (GCC) march, as well as supporting international efforts to achieve peace and stability.
Al-Mutairi, in remarks during a reception marking Kuwait's 64th National Day and 34th Liberation Day and attended by ministers, senior officials and ambassadors, said relations between the State of Kuwait and Qatar were rock solid and backed by the leaderships in the two nations.
He cited a meeting of Kuwait-Qatar supreme committee, which was held in Doha early this month and co-chaired by Kuwait Foreign Minister Abdullah Al-Yahya and Qatari Prime Minister and Foreign Minister Sheikh Mohammad Al-Thani.
Al-Mutairi said the two sides discussed means of further developing bilateral relations and cooperation, and concluded with the signature of agreements and memoranda of understanding.
He congratulated His Highness the Amir Sheikh Meshal Al-Ahmad Al-Jaber Al-Sabah, His Highness the Crown Prince Sheikh Sabah Khaled Al-Hamad Al-Sabah and His Highness the Prime Minister Sheikh Ahmad Abdullah Al-Ahmad Al-Sabah on the national days. (end) sss.bs
