KUWAIT, Feb 20 (KUNA) -- US Ambassador to Kuwait Karen Sasahara affirmed on Thursday that US participation in Kuwait's national celebrations reinforced the partnership between the two countries, considering the pivotal role the US played in liberating Kuwait during the Gulf War.
This came in during a speech by Sasahara at the opening of a photo exhibit about the liberation within the Gardenia Exhibition at the Kuwait National Museum, in line with Kuwait's national celebration.
The exhibit displays moments of bravery and courage that reinforced the long-lasting relations between Kuwait and the US, said Sasahara.
On his part, Secretary General of the National Council for Culture, Arts and Letters (NCCAL) Dr. Mohammad Al-Jassar said that this was a good opportunity to celebrate the shared effort by the US and its allies towards bringing justice and liberation.
He pointed out that the aim of this museum was to present and tell the story of Kuwait throughout its history, as well as displaying the Al-Sabah archeological collection, the best Islamic collection in the world. (end)
