KUWAIT, Feb 21 (KUNA) -- Kuwaiti embassies in Algeria, Lebanon, Germany, Portugal, Pakistan, and Vietnam marked Kuwait's 64th National Day and 34th Liberation Day with official celebrations attended by ministers, ambassadors, senior officials, and other guests.
The Kuwaiti Embassy in Algeria hosted a reception at its headquarters, where Acting Charge d'Affaires Khaled Al-Yoha conveyed his congratulations to His Highness the Amir Sheikh Meshal Al-Ahmad Al-Jaber Al-Sabah, His Highness the Crown Prince Sheikh Sabah Khaled Al-Hamad Al-Sabah, and the people of Kuwait, and emphasized the strong relations between Kuwait and Algeria, highlighting ongoing preparations for the next joint committee meeting, which aims to enhance economic and trade cooperation.
Al-Yoha also reaffirmed Kuwait's commitment to peaceful crisis resolution and praised Algeria's role in the UN Security Council, reiterating Kuwait's stance on Palestinian rights, supporting a two-state solution based on 1967 borders with East Jerusalem as the capital, while condemning any forced displacement of Palestinians, and reaffirming Kuwait's support for Saudi Arabia's stability and sovereignty, as well as for Syria's reconstruction efforts.
In Beirut, Kuwaiti Charge d'Affaires Yassin Al-Majed highlighted the historical ties between Kuwait and Lebanon, emphasizing Kuwait's unwavering support for Lebanon's sovereignty and stability, and congratulated Lebanon on its political progress following the election of a new president and government.
Representing Lebanon's leadership, Minister of State for Administrative Development Fadi Makki praised Kuwait's consistent support for Lebanon throughout various challenges, and Member of Parliament Ayoub Hmayed extended Lebanon's gratitude to Kuwait, reaffirming aspirations for stronger bilateral relations.
Kuwaiti Ambassador to Germany Reem Al-Khaled highlighted the strong bilateral ties between Kuwait and Germany, spanning over 60 years in political and economic cooperation, and expressed gratitude for Germany's steadfast support during Kuwait's liberation in 1990.
Kuwaiti Ambassador to Portugal Hamad Al-Hazeem reaffirmed Kuwait's commitment to deepening relations with Portugal across political and economic sectors, during the embassy's celebration, he announced the successful formation of a major Portuguese trade delegation currently visiting Kuwait to explore investment opportunities.

Pakistan's Federal Minister for Industries and Production Rana Tanveer Hussain praised the historical bilateral ties between Kuwait and Pakistan, and also extended his best wishes to Kuwait's leadership and the people of Kuwait on the occasion of the National and Liberation Days celebrations on the behalf of the Prime Minister of Pakistan Shehbaz Sharif and the people of Pakistan, and he also expressed Pakistan's eagerness to expand cooperation in trade, industry, and defense.
Kuwaiti Ambassador to Vietnam, Yousef Al-Sabbagh reaffirmed Kuwait's commitment to strengthening its 49-year diplomatic ties with Vietnam, and Vietnamese Deputy Minister of Foreign Affairs Le Thi Thu Hang praised Kuwait as the first GCC country to establish diplomatic relations with Vietnam in 1976 and a key contributor to its development programs.
She highlighted the USD 7.3 billion bilateral trade volume in 2024 and commended Kuwait's role in Vietnam's energy security through the Kuwait-Japan-Vietnam Nghi Son Refinery, and expressed confidence in Kuwait's Vision 2035 economic plan, and lauded Kuwait's efforts to position itself as a global financial and trade hub.
